JASMIN ADILOVIĆ (Sarajevo; Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1979)
Jasmin Adilović, “Jas”, was forced to flee from the war when she was just 13 years old. A refugee in Spain for several years, in 1999 she joined the “Òpticos x MundO” team to train in Optometry at the University of Terrassa. When she returned to her city, she led the visual care intervention that managed to treat over 12,000 people. Now, thanks to her enviable drive and attitude, she runs her own Optics business and represents the country’s largest company in the sector. Lover of her land, her culture and her music, she’s the finest example of the generous soul represented by her city.
The project changed my life. Studying in Barcelona changed my life. I can now say that I’m so happy to have met all these people and joined the project, without it I wouldn’t have what I have today.
